NGI Chart Breakdown: SISTRANSGAS Receipts & Deliveries=A0Summary / Datafeed

NGI's newest additions to our industry-leading=A0Mexico Gas Price Index=A0 =

How does NGI have gas delivery / receipts data for pipelines in Mexico?

We did something extremely sneaky in the dead of night. Just kidding! Actua=
lly, if you have a lot of time, know your Spanish natural gas jargon well, =
and love parsing tons of flow data (we qualify on all counts), you can find=
 the bones of our SISTRANGAS data on their EBB systems. What we're really p=
roud of is the presentation here - nowhere else will you find such data sum=
marized, with all the breakouts we have included. And if that's not enough,=
 we're updating this every single day.=A0

Please explain what "Deliveries" means in the context of this chart

The easiest way to think about this chart is from the perspective of the en=
tity providing the data - that being SISTRANGAS. Deliveries therefore shows=
 volumes, changes, end-users, and regions (and their percentages of the who=
le) where SISTRANGAS delivered gas via their pipes. All volumes are in deka=
therms, equivalent to about 1,000,0000 Btu or 1.055 GJ. It is worth noting =
that on this particular day, Electricity end-users account for 43% of all d=
eliveries - as much as any two other end user groups combined; This makes s=
ense when you consider that 35% of Mexico's electricity is derived from nat=
ural-gas fueled power plants.=A0

I thought we already discussed electricity. There's more?=A0

Electricity is so important to the equation when considering natural gas in=
 Mexico that we felt it deserved a dedicated breakout. CFE is the state-own=
ed electric utility of Mexico, and NGI is able=A0to=A0estimate which volume=
s are delivered to their (CFE)=A0endpoints. In total, CFE deliveries account=
=A0for just under 20% of total deliveries, which sets a very solid platform=
 for stable future volume demand in Mexico.=A0

If Deliveries are where SISTRANGAS pipeline volumes end up, what are Receip=
ts?

Receipts in this context can be read as "How/Where does gas come into the S=
ISTRANGAS pipeline system". Perhaps the easiest way to see this difference =
denoted is by looking at the Reciepts By Zone vs. Deliveries By Zone (at ri=
ght, above #5). While Centro, Istmo, and Other/Makeup certainly take delive=
ry of volumes, we can easily look at the receipts below to see that they do=
 not take volumes in. There are only 4 zones which take receipt of gas, and=
 Golfo (which borders Texas) takes the vast majority at 75%.=A0

ows data outside of this chart?
